Prince Philip had many personal interests, ranging from cars to sports. As his grandson Prince Harry highlighted in his moving tribute, the Duke of Edinburgh was a keen barbecuer. His interest in food didn’t end there.
The dad of four grew many of his own vegetables at the royal residences, and took pleasure in enjoying the local delicacies from countless royal tours across the globe.
The Duke of Edinburgh was particularly good at whipping up breakfast and supper snacks. According to Dinner at Buckingham Palace, he insisted on having his electric glass-lidded frying pan packed wherever he went so he could get cooking!
Philip embraced many parts of life, and food and cooking were no exceptions.
